At Simply
Pilates, we aim to make your Pilates experience as efficient
and enjoyable as possible. Please read and abide by our policies
below to facilitate this.
Appointments:
Appointments
are required for all studio sessions and bookings are required
for mat courses. It is a good idea to make appointments and
bookings well in advance as places are limited. Tel: 03 9530
0511.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early in order to get settled
and prepare for your session. Be sure to leave adequate time
if you need to change your clothes. Sessions will end on time
regardless of a late start so as not to delay the next client.
We recommend leaving valuables at home as Simply Pilates takes
no responsibility for their safety.
Cancellation:
As a courtesy to our staff and clients we have a 24 hour cancellation
policy for all studio sessions. To avoid the cancellation
fee, it is each clients responsibility to notify Simply Pilates
at least 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or
reschedule your appointment. Any appointments missed or cancelled
less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge
of one third of the service booked.
If you have a standing appointment, inconsistent attendance
will result in the loss of that time slot regardless of 24
hour notice.
Scheduling
an appointment constitutes your acceptance of these policies.
Please note that the cancellation policy is in place to minimize
disruption to our clients and as a courtesy to our trainers
who are compensated on a per client basis. We appreciate your
understanding and respect for our instructors' time.
Etiquette:
Simply Pilates aims to provide classes in a friendly
and encouraging atmosphere.
Clients are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous
and professional manner at all times. Please switch off cell
phones and pagers whilst in the studio and particularly during
sessions. We ask that the noise level be kept to a minimum
so as not to disturb other clients and therapies conducted
in the building.
Simply Pilates staff may refuse services to any client if
they feel it is appropriate.
Anyone suspected to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or other abusive substance will be asked to leave.
Health Conditions:
It
is each individual clients responsibility to ascertain whether
classical Pilates is suitable for their particular condition.
Classical Pilates is classified as 'exercise', not stretching
or therapy. Please be sure to confer with your health practitioner
whether exercise is appropriate and advise your instructor
of any conditions or concerns.
Please inform your instructor if you are taking any prescribed
drugs that may be relevant to your session.
Pregnancy:
Classical Pilates is not suitable during pregnancy.
Following pregnancy:
Once your doctor allows you to begin exercising again, classical
Pilates can be highly beneficial. Please note that classical
Pilates is exercise and not stretching or therapy and you
must always consult with your health practitioner before attempting
these classes.
For all sessions, clients will
be asked to sign and accept the following release:
“I am aware that Simply Pilates aims to share
knowledge of Pilates and recognize that these activities may
at times be strenuous, and may potentially result in injury.
In my participation in any of these activities, I agree to
take full responsibility for not exceeding my limits and I
assume the risk of and responsibility for any injury, or property
damage resulting from my participation in any of these activities.
It is my responsibility to ascertain that there is no medical
reason to prevent my participation, and I take it upon myself
to confirm this with my Health Practitioner. I consent to
the reasonable use of physical contact by my instructor to
facilitate guidance during sessions.”
